Voice Lessons // thoughts
Its been a privilege to be able to be around so many singers. Teaching is something I can see myself being apart of for a long time. I have learned several things about doing // teaching voice lessons.
Its about the personal person.
Singing is so personal. If someone is a naturally confident or outgoing person then they seem to bounce in to it. Those that are not too confident, seem to proceed quietly. Its amazing how we think of ourselves, and how that effects our singing...
I wish I had the best of both...we all need to sing as people who think, but also who just go for it. If all we did was think then we would never try and never know what we are capable of... if all we did was go for it with out thinking, then we can sometimes miss it- miss the emotion or the feeling of it, or miss the actually melody or musical genre...
Many times voice lessons help us in this process, like a coach. We all need help, we all need another prospective. Lets us always get help and let all of us work hard at listening, no pun intended :), to our voice teachers!
Lets think about the song. The musical aspects as well as how it makes us feel.
Then Lets just go for it and feel it.
Lets do it!

Blessed to Be A Musician
Its been a while since I have said anything here. So here it goes...
Shaina and I are having a baby soon... Connor James Cochran. Oh Yeah! Its only about 6 weeks away! Totally crazy! We are having mid-wives rock it, and we have Doula Dhana (Dhana Wimberly) there to help me out :)
Shaina is home getting things ready now and helping with the business.

-Song Writing and Recording
For those of you that have ditti's in our head or just need someone to hit
record! We can even build your chord or lead sheet charts for you!
It has been crazy and we have seen God's blessing for sure! We are really blessed to be musicians in the awesome city of Olympia. This summer we are playing in two weddings. One in the Seattle area and the other as far away as Burbank California! Pretty sweet, it will be on the beach!
I am singing Somewhere Over The Rainbow and I'm Yours by Jason Mraz, that should be cool!
Our help with Living Water's Multi-Site @ the Regal 16 Cinemas is going amazing. Every week we have bands and live music rocking out to the word @ 9:45am. Free Breakfast with Starbucks "Joe to Go"! Also Lake Fair is coming up too, starting tomorrow night and ending with Fire works on Sun, let me know if you want to serve :) !!!!!
Anyway, its been great, now off to eat some of Shaina's home cooked food. Stay tuned for more video's, song recordings, and info about Dylan Cochran music. Here is our website (or you can visit the above tabs) for links to our Calender.
