Hey guys, here is a video of Andreaw from 333 Music Studios showing us a few tips on how to play the intro and chorus line from "You Are Good" by Bethel Live. We also have a few resources that may help, the TAB and a chart on the PENTATONIC SCALE.

We noticed right away that you can play this pretty easy if you stay in the home base of the F#minor Pentatonic Scale.  You acutally don't even need to move from this spot....
  • Be sure to use your pinky and keep your first finger on the 14th fret keeping you in PATTERN 1 of the scale (there are 5 patterns, hence "penta"=5).
  • Use a heavy dotted 8th delay - it will "beef" up your sound.
Here is the Tab - an 8th note drive.  On the recording they change it up a little as far as hitting the "ands" but this give you a pretty good accurate look.  Remember with TAB, you really have to get the song into you to really play it-  see the scenery and feeling of the song.  TAB just gives you a road map...  Let us know if you have questions or want to sign up for guitar lessons with one of our teachers  - You Are Good - Elect Gtr Tab-A.

Thanks!

Andrew
